I am having trouble adding my slide show. I have been trying for over a week now!! Just to proove i have produced one my address is:

http://tashacross.slide.com/

hopefully i will get it up and running soon. Rather than adding slide shows all the time i am just adding new photos to the previous slide show.

White Lilies

Another short video of lillies, this time they are white though! How can such a beautiful flower be a symbol of death? That is also quite an interesting concept....

Lily time lapse 2

This one is even better than the 4 before as it is so close up! You can really see the colours! Im not a huge fan of the colour pink but this particular shade is beautiful.

Four lilies

Lillies are my favourtie flowers and i love this video showing them opening from different angles!

Flowers

This video isn't very long but there are some fantastic close up shots. At the end the rows of petals almost look like a delicate petticoat. I can really see some fashion ideas coming from this video!!

The book 'Goddess The Classical mode' by Harold Koda features some beautiful garments using chiffon fabric. Based on ancient roman dress through the ages, the classical mode has unfolded and persisted, finding expression in a variety of artworks and through them, in fashion.

This look below based on the same theme has a more 'shipwrecked' look. Oh dear.. now this has given me another idea for my collection!!

Sticking to the loose fitting idea, i found some images from clothing worn today. Balloon style sleeves and baggy waists, both 50/60 style. The 'frillyness' also fits in with the 'fairy' theme i have looked at. I have kind of expanded my idea slightly now. i need to narrow the idea down to one theme rather than looking at several of similar ideas.

I love this cute Swimsuit, created in the 1950's by Claire McCardell, the period is a little earlier than what i am looking into but the style is very similar to the 'loose fitting' idea.

Sticking with the 1960's idea, i looked at some of Cristobal Balenciaga's work from this period. This yellow dress particularly capture's the main feature of Balenciaga's dresses, the abstract body. The short length, loose waist and trapezoidal from that widens from the shoulder to the hem became popularly known as the 'baby doll' dress.

I love the 1960's feel of these outfits. The dress is so cute, i also really like the print which is fruit inspired.. i also love the shorts, which are the new mini skirt. The high waist makes them differnt and really flatter the top. This has given me the idea of using different influences for the silhouette and pattern/print.
Stella McCartney has created some beautiful outfits along a similar theme. Floaty chiffons and laces have been used in the outfits below.I like the loose fitting of the garments and the 'prettiness' of them. Some of the images almost look like underwear; but i like this idea also... underwear as outerwear...

Following on from the 'fairy' idea i found a cute little picture from the book 'The water babies' by Charles Kingsley. This book inspired designer Anna Molinari to create her catwalk collection for spring/summer 2004.

I love this dress, the embroiderey at the bottom is beautiful!
Anyone who knows me knows i am a 'girly girl' at heart. I love pretty things like beaded bags in accessorize and precious things, so, i think i may try and incorporate this into my work. I have a sample below (which is also for my rsa) of beads, sequins, feathers, gems and buttons. It's not very clear but hopefully it'l show an idea of what i might like to do. I think these sort of samples would look great on accessories.
